A top price for Liu Dan
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art, which included the work Poppy by Liu Dan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 6,920,000.00 (€ 779,641.64), 73% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Poppy the most expensive artwork by Liu Dan that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poppy von Liu Dan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 6.920.000,00 (€ 779.641,64) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Poppy zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Liu Dan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
