In August 2015 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors - Including 20th/21st Century Pictures, which included the work Windbreaks on the beach by Lionel Bulmer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,375.00 (€ 3,259.53), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lionel Bulmer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Figures on the beach, Suffolk sold at auction in July 2004 with the realized price of GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,611.82).

Im August 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors - Including 20th/21st Century Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Windbreaks on the beach von Lionel Bulmer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 3.259,53) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lionel Bulmer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Figures on the beach, Suffolk im Juli 2004 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 2.390,00 (€ 3.611,82).
