It achieved a price of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 27,390.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lin Sanzhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poem In Caoshu, which sold at auction in April 2017 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 61,968.79).

Die Arbeit Scenery By The Lakeside And Calligraphy von Lin Sanzhi wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 27.390,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Lin Sanzhi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poem In Caoshu beobachtet, die im April 2017 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 61.968,79) versteigert wurde.
