Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Poem in Cursive Script by Lin Sanzhi was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 38,250.00 (€ 4,034.55). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Sanzhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poem In Caoshu in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 61,968.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Poem in Cursive Script von Lin Sanzhi im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 38.250,00 (€ 4.034,55) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Sanzhi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poem In Caoshu im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 61.968,79).
