Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Philosopher Among Trees by Lin Fengmian was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in September 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,919.74). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Fengmian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work FISHING VILLAGE in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 39,740,000.00 (€ 4,842,584.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Philosopher Among Trees von Lin Fengmian wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.919,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Fengmian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit FISHING VILLAGE im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 39.740.000,00 (€ 4.842.584,61).
