Despite a disappointment, a good price for Lin Fengmian
This work of art by Lin Fengmian could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Pioneers auction, the work FISHING VILLAGE changed hands for HKD 39,740,000.00 (€ 4,842,584.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 45,000,000.00 – 65,000,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, FISHING VILLAGE is the most expensive artwork by Lin Fengmian that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Lin Fengmian
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lin Fengmian konnte im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Pioneers wechselte die Arbeit FISHING VILLAGE für HKD 39.740.000,00 (€ 4.842.584,61) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 45.000.000,00 – 65.000.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist FISHING VILLAGE das teuerste Kunstwerk von Lin Fengmian, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
