Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work (I) Horse (Ii) Horse Trotting (Iii) Horse With Head Down by Lim Nang Seng for HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,674.29). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 24,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lim Nang Seng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Head Of A Woman, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,741.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit (I) Horse (Ii) Horse Trotting (Iii) Horse With Head Down von Lim Nang Seng für HKD 23.750,00 (€ 2.674,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 24.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lim Nang Seng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Head Of A Woman beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.741,35) versteigert wurde.
