Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Dark Haired Beauty (Study For Harriet Blake) by Lilian Westcott Hale for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,720.10). This price was achieved in the auction American Art Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lilian Westcott Hale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Open Door in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 53,523.96).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art Online bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00.
