It achieved a price of HKD 132,000.00 (€ 13,746.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 32%. Admittedly, works by Liang Yifeng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lady in White in November 2005 with an auction result of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 98,473.28).

Die Arbeit A Girl in Reading von Liang Yifeng wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art & Asian Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 132.000,00 (€ 13.746,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 32%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Yifeng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lady in White im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 98.473,28).
