This artwork by Li Zonghan achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I auction, the work Calligraphic Couplets sold for HKD 29,500.00 (€ 3,371.81) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Li Zonghan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy In Running Script sold at auction in March 2016 with the realized price of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,487.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Zonghan erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei POLY einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I wurde die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets für HKD 29.500,00 (€ 3.371,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 10.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Li Zonghan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im März 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.487,27).
