The work Waterfall in Mountain by Li Xiongcai was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in New York in August this year. It achieved a price of HKD 107,100.00 (€ 12,598.26), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Xiongcai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Waterfall in April this year with an auction result of HKD 660,000.00 (€ 673,989.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Waterfall in Mountain von Li Xiongcai wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 107.100,00 (€ 12.598,26) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Xiongcai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Waterfall im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 660.000,00 (€ 673.989,13).
