A top price for Li Xiongcai - as previously expected
In April this year China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Waterfall by Li Xiongcai. The price achieved of HKD 660,000.00 (€ 673,989.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 550,000.00 – 850,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Waterfall is the most expensive artwork by Li Xiongcai that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April diesen Jahres führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waterfall von Li Xiongcai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 660.000,00 (€ 673.989,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 550.000,00 – 850.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Waterfall das teuerste Kunstwerk von Li Xiongcai, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
