Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Li Xiongcai could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Asian Works of Art auction, the work Landscape, 1957 changed hands for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,758.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Xiongcai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Waterfall in April this year with an auction result of HKD 660,000.00 (€ 673,989.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Xiongcai konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Asian Works of Art wechselte die Arbeit Landscape, 1957 für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.758,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Xiongcai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Waterfall im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 660.000,00 (€ 673.989,13).
