A top price for Li Xiaowei - as previously expected

In June 2007 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction An Important Private Collection of Reunification Art - A Charity Auction to Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Hong Kong's Reunification with China - to benefit The China Red Cross Foundation, which included the work Chinese Heart by Li Xiaowei. It changed hands for a price of HKD 240,000.00 (€ 22,704.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Chinese Heart is the most expensive artwork by Li Xiaowei that we have observed at auctions so far.

Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage

Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion An Important Private Collection of Reunification Art - A Charity Auction to Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Hong Kong's Reunification with China - to benefit The China Red Cross Foundation durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chinese Heart von Li Xiaowei zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 240.000,00 (€ 22.704,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Chinese Heart das teuerste Kunstwerk von Li Xiaowei, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
