In November 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Sea View by Li Shih Chiao. The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 18,320.39) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Shih Chiao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unknown in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,400,000.00 (€ 321,554.25).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sea View von Li Shih Chiao zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 18.320,39) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Shih Chiao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Unknown im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.400.000,00 (€ 321.554,25).
