This artwork by Li Ruiqing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2020. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Correspondences sold for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,048.79) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Ruiqing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 115,570.69).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Ruiqing erzielte im November 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Correspondences für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.048,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Ruiqing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 115.570,69).
