Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction The Schoeni Family Collection, which included the work The Spirit Of The Girl(Executed In 2012) by Li Hongbo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 47,200.00 (€ 5,194.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Hongbo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bust of Laocoonte, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,209.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion The Schoeni Family Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Spirit Of The Girl(Executed In 2012) von Li Hongbo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 47.200,00 (€ 5.194,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Hongbo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bust of Laocoonte beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.209,08) versteigert wurde.
