Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still Life Of Roses by Lev Chistovsky was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,736.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lev Chistovsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Female Nude in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 170,500.00 (€ 205,173.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still Life Of Roses von Lev Chistovsky im Juni 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.736,38) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lev Chistovsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Female Nude im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 170.500,00 (€ 205.173,93).
