Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Concept 31 (Pears) by Leslie Gooday was sold in the 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE auction at Christies in London in October 2003. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 514.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leslie Gooday - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Concept 25, which sold at auction in December 2001 for GBP 752.00 (€ 1,228.66).
