Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abracadabra by Leslie de Chavez was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 24,558.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 260,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leslie de Chavez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mr. Chin's Pet Project, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 54,901.21).

Die Arbeit Abracadabra von Leslie de Chavez kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 24.558,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 260.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Leslie de Chavez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mr. Chin's Pet Project beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 54.901,21) versteigert wurde.
