Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work A sunny day on the Thames by Richmond Bridge by Leslie Arthur Wilcox. The price achieved of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,532.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leslie Arthur Wilcox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jeannette, Trafalgar 1805 in October last year with an auction result of GBP 40,620.00 (€ 47,321.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A sunny day on the Thames by Richmond Bridge von Leslie Arthur Wilcox zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.532,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leslie Arthur Wilcox erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jeannette, Trafalgar 1805 im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.620,00 (€ 47.321,85).
