In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Art Evening, which included the work The Staircase by Leonid Terentievich Chupyatov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 253,250.00 (€ 306,198.28), 69% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Leonid Terentievich Chupyatov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Girl On A Cube sold at auction in November 2014 with the realized price of GBP 326,500.00 (€ 410,500.64).

Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Art Evening durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Staircase von Leonid Terentievich Chupyatov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 253.250,00 (€ 306.198,28) und damit 69% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Leonid Terentievich Chupyatov; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Girl On A Cube im November 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 326.500,00 (€ 410.500,64).
