Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Leonard Charles Nightingale could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The European Art Sale auction, the work Spring in Bloom changed hands for USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,360.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard Charles Nightingale - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Under the Blossom, which sold at auction in November 2002 for GBP 33,460.00 (€ 52,396.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonard Charles Nightingale konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The European Art Sale wechselte die Arbeit Spring in Bloom für USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.360,80) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard Charles Nightingale mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Under the Blossom beobachtet, die im November 2002 für GBP 33.460,00 (€ 52.396,64) versteigert wurde.
