A top price for Léon Tanzi - as previously expected
In June 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art Including Select Works From the Salander-O'Reilly Galleries, which included the work Cathédrale Notre-Dame d'Amiens by Léon Tanzi. The price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 35,595.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cathédrale Notre-Dame d'Amiens is the most expensive artwork by Léon Tanzi that we have observed at auctions so far.
