Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work French Le Village by Léon Légat was sold in the European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,846.42). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Léon Légat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Farmyard In Cernay, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 22,800.00 (€ 32,991.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit French Le Village von Léon Légat wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.846,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Léon Légat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Farmyard In Cernay beobachtet, die im Juni 2006 für GBP 22.800,00 (€ 32.991,22) versteigert wurde.
