Despite a disappointment, a good price for Léon Germain Pelouse
In November 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work French foret De Fontainebleau by Léon Germain Pelouse for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,558.22). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, French foret De Fontainebleau is the most expensive artwork by Léon Germain Pelouse that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Léon Germain Pelouse
Im November 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit French foret De Fontainebleau von Léon Germain Pelouse für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.558,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist French foret De Fontainebleau das teuerste Kunstwerk von Léon Germain Pelouse, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
