Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A rocky river bed in a sunlit landscape by Léon Germain Pelouse was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 881.25 (€ 1,349.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Germain Pelouse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French foret De Fontainebleau in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,558.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A rocky river bed in a sunlit landscape von Léon Germain Pelouse kam im Januar 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.349,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Germain Pelouse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French foret De Fontainebleau im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.558,22).
