The work St Bernard pups by Léon Eugène Lambert was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2006. The price achieved of EUR 1,320.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, St Bernard pups is the most expensive artwork by Léon Eugène Lambert that we have observed at auctions so far.
