A top price for Léon Delachaux
In May 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Swiss the Banjo Player by Léon Delachaux. The »bidding war« ended at USD 81,250.00 (€ 59,567.45), 35% above the upper estimate. With this result, Swiss the Banjo Player is even the most expensive work of art by Léon Delachaux that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Swiss the Banjo Player von Léon Delachaux zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 59.567,45) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Swiss the Banjo Player sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Léon Delachaux, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
