Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bank by Leo de Vries was sold in the The Sculpture Sale auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,080.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Leo de Vries have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Untitled (R68a) was auctioned for EUR 2,125.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bank von Leo de Vries wurde im November 2006 in der Auktion The Sculpture Sale bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.080,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Leo de Vries konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2007 die Arbeit Untitled (R68a) für EUR 2.125,00 versteigert.
