Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (from the Fools Series) by Leila Nseir for GBP 625.00 (€ 704.81). This price was achieved in the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leila Nseir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 46,600.00 (€ 32,209.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (from the Fools Series) von Leila Nseir für GBP 625,00 (€ 704,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leila Nseir erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.600,00 (€ 32.209,01).
