Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sperm geese on the salt meadow by Leif Rydeng was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 10,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 7,000.00 (€ 939.04). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leif Rydeng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piping ducks fly over the surf, which sold at auction in August this year for DKK 25,000.00 (€ 3,353.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sperm geese on the salt meadow von Leif Rydeng im April diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 10.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 7.000,00 (€ 939,04) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Leif Rydeng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Piping ducks fly over the surf beobachtet, die im August diesen Jahres für DKK 25.000,00 (€ 3.353,63) versteigert wurde.
