Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work From Point No. 77103 by Lee Ufan for HKD 7,207,500.00 (€ 863,714.25). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in association with Yongle at Phillips in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 8,000,000.00 – 12,000,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lee Ufan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work From Line, No. 760219, which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit From Point No. 77103 von Lee Ufan für HKD 7.207.500,00 (€ 863.714,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in association with Yongle bei Phillips in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 8.000.000,00 – 12.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lee Ufan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit From Line, No. 760219 beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54) versteigert wurde.
