Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Dream No. 3 by Lee Lee Nam. It changed hands for a price of HKD 511,500.00 (€ 42,109.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00. Other works by Lee Lee Nam have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2011 the work Crossover Georges Pierre Seurat was auctioned for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 44,727.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dream No. 3 von Lee Lee Nam zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 511.500,00 (€ 42.109,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Lee Lee Nam konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2011 die Arbeit Crossover Georges Pierre Seurat für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 44.727,32) versteigert.
