Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pukhan Mountain by Lee Daiwon was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 400,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 45,575.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Lee Daiwon have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2007 the work Columbia Road (Washington, D.C.) - I, 1959 was auctioned for USD 102,000.00 (€ 76,267.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pukhan Mountain von Lee Daiwon kam im Mai 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 45.575,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Lee Daiwon konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2007 die Arbeit Columbia Road (Washington, D.C.) - I, 1959 für USD 102.000,00 (€ 76.267,38) versteigert.
