Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The three Fates by Lazzaro Baldi was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction at Christies in New York in January 2020. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,507.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lazzaro Baldi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Recto: A Saint Preaching In Prison Verso: Studies Of A Man'S Torso With Raised Arms, And Of Raised Hands, which sold at auction in January 2012 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,364.51).
