This artwork by Isidore Ducasse achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2014. In the Czech Avant-Garde Art from the Roy and Mary Cullen Collection auction, the work Maldoror. Prague: Odeon, 1929 sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,072.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Isidore Ducasse; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Unknown sold at auction in April 2004 with the realized price of EUR 7,637.50.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Isidore Ducasse erzielte im November 2014 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Czech Avant-Garde Art from the Roy and Mary Cullen Collection wurde die Arbeit Maldoror. Prague: Odeon, 1929 für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.072,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Isidore Ducasse; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Unknown im April 2004 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 7.637,50.
