A top price for Laurent-Honoré Marqueste - as previously expected
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Cupid And Psyche by Laurent-Honoré Marqueste. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 52,920.00 (€ 45,436.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cupid And Psyche is the most expensive artwork by Laurent-Honoré Marqueste that we have observed at auctions so far.
