Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Punting by Lang Jingshan was sold in the 20th Century Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 140,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 9,177.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lang Jingshan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hundred Cranes in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 48,902.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Punting von Lang Jingshan wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 140.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 9.177,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lang Jingshan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hundred Cranes im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 48.902,63).
