Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pair Of Cranes Under An Ancient Tree / Waterfall In A Secluded Valley by Lang Jingshan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. It changed hands for a price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 14,422.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lang Jingshan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hundred Cranes, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 48,902.63).

Die Arbeit Pair Of Cranes Under An Ancient Tree / Waterfall In A Secluded Valley von Lang Jingshan kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 14.422,21) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lang Jingshan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hundred Cranes beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 48.902,63) versteigert wurde.
