Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Landscape?Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script by Lang Jingshan was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2014, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 20,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 69,000.00 (€ 7,103.75). Admittedly, works by Lang Jingshan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hundred Cranes in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 48,902.63).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Landscape?Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script von Lang Jingshan im Oktober 2014 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 20.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 69.000,00 (€ 7.103,75) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lang Jingshan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hundred Cranes im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 48.902,63).
