Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mother and child in a Dutch interior by Lammert van der Tonge was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lammert van der Tonge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work At Their Daily Pursuits, which sold at auction in September 2004 for USD 3,824.00 (€ 3,079.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mother and child in a Dutch interior von Lammert van der Tonge kam im September 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Lammert van der Tonge mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit At Their Daily Pursuits beobachtet, die im September 2004 für USD 3.824,00 (€ 3.079,65) versteigert wurde.
