Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lalan could be acquired at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale auction, this work without title changed hands for HKD 160,000.00 (€ 19,470.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lalan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Formes Sortent Du Bleu Et Du Vert in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 11,065,000.00 (€ 1,225,538.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lalan konnte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 160.000,00 (€ 19.470,82) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lalan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Formes Sortent Du Bleu Et Du Vert im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.065.000,00 (€ 1.225.538,77).
