Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Lalan was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 226,800.00 (€ 27,599.89). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lalan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Formes Sortent Du Bleu Et Du Vert in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 11,065,000.00 (€ 1,225,538.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lalan im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 226.800,00 (€ 27.599,89) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lalan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Formes Sortent Du Bleu Et Du Vert im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.065.000,00 (€ 1.225.538,77).
