Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Art, which included the work The British four-masted barque Eulomene at sea under full sail by Kwong Sang. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,883.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Kwong Sang have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2012 the work The Militiades At Full Sail was auctioned for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,788.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The British four-masted barque Eulomene at sea under full sail von Kwong Sang zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.883,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Kwong Sang konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Januar 2012 die Arbeit The Militiades At Full Sail für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.788,17) versteigert.
