A top price for Kshitindranath Mazumdar - as previously expected
The work Death of Sadhu Haridas by Kshitindranath Mazumdar was sold in the A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection auction at Christies in New York in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,867.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Death of Sadhu Haridas is the most expensive artwork by Kshitindranath Mazumdar that we have observed at auctions so far.
