A top price for Konstantinos Vyzantios
When the work Bain l'après-midi I by Konstantinos Vyzantios was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in May last year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 12,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at EUR 38,175.00. This high result makes Bain l'après-midi I the most expensive artwork by Konstantinos Vyzantios that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Konstantinos Vyzantios
Als die Arbeit Bain l'après-midi I von Konstantinos Vyzantios im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 12.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 38.175,00 mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Bain l'après-midi I zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Konstantinos Vyzantios, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
