The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,358.23), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Konstantinos Vyzantios - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bain l'après-midi I, which sold at auction in May last year for EUR 38,175.00.

Die Arbeit Greek Femme Au Couteau von Konstantinos Vyzantios wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.358,23) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Konstantinos Vyzantios mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bain l'après-midi I beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für EUR 38.175,00 versteigert wurde.
