This artwork by Konstantin Andreevich Tereshkovich achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2007. In the Russian Art and Paintings auction, the work The Beach sold for GBP 17,300.00 (€ 24,224.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Konstantin Andreevich Tereshkovich; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Celebration sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of GBP 20,900.00 (€ 29,265.41).
