This artwork by Konstantin Andreevich Tereshkovich achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. In the Russian Pictures, Works of Art and Icons auction, the work In The Cafe sold for GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,368.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Konstantin Andreevich Tereshkovich; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Celebration sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of GBP 20,900.00 (€ 29,265.41).
